Designer Naoto Fukasawa may not be a household name, but he has designed many household products, including PC’s, printers, hard drives, humidifiers and even potato peelers. Born in Japan in 1956, he graduated from Tama Art University in 1980. He spent some time in the United States designing technological products, and then returned to Japan in 1996. He went independent with his designs in 2003 and established “Naoto Fukasawa” designs. His stylish dining chair , Deja Vu, produced in 2007, feature aluminum legs that are either polished or painted; the seat is die-cast aluminum, also polished or painted.
The back is die-cast aluminum as well. There is also a design that comes in a wood version. The die cast aluminum chairs are flame retardant.
